I believe it is 0.015 steel shim. Use a copper coat or aluminum paint for sealing.
You may want to double check the deck height with the piston at TDC. Typically the piston is 0.025 down in the hole and with the 0.015 you end up with a quench of 0.040 which is about right. I say typically because this varied a bit form the factory.

The factory correct intake manifold gaskets are not available, unless you are willing to trim them.

I last paid $450 for a complete set of NOS correct gaskets including the steel shim head gaskets, intake gaskets, and the correct thick black pan rail gaskets.

The red dash shows the correct finger tab on the gasket, the current available has this area completely covered by gasket.
ALSO the correct valve cover gasket is ALL CORK not salt and pepper.

There is tons of information on all of this on the NCRS website. It is searchable and viewable to non NCRS members.

"The factory correct intake manifold gaskets are not available"

Zip Corvette offers a nice version with the tab.

I am glad to find them available.... I have one set left and I was not looking forward to paying through the nose the next time I needed them!
