Debating here this morning whether I have enough time to install the Crossram and get the carbs setup and tuned before I run out of time. One can spend a couple days messing around with the pedal, cable, fuel lines, the odd leak and carb tuning, but I'm tempted to install it while the front clip is off the car.

I'm back and forth on this one at the moment.

IMHO ... setup can be a pain in the south end -- but worth it ... get er' done!! Craig

The cross ram setup is an easy tune I can PM you my tuning specs I haven't changed anything after it was setup. Idles all day and blip throttle and its clean and crisp. FYI you'll need to cut down valve cover rails to fit but no biggee. We have similar builds with engine size and cam.

[QUOTE=NorCam;1434741]Rounding the corner here with 10 days left to finish it up before the World of Wheels in Calgary. Finished installing the clutch today, added some solid motor mounts, dropped the stroker motor into the Nova and got the headers set. Once everything else is in to surround the motor, it should have a real nice clean look to it. And a nice lumpy solid cam to announce itself with. More later in the week.

If you can PM the carb or tuning info you have, that would be helpful. I'm on my way out to the shop now to convert the pedal/cable, and start on the Crossram intake and carbs. Thanks for this.

The Crossram is in fact going onto the new motor. It took a while to find all of the parts, but ended up finding everything tonight. Throttle cable and pedal has now been changed, and I'll now mount the intake in the morning.

That's going to be awesome. This is going to be such a great car when you are done.

Intake gaskets are set and I'm ready to mount the Crossram, but first comes the new gauges and a 90 degree fitting for the oil pressure gauge. Forgetting to install this BEFORE you install a Crossram intake will cause you some hardship. Ask me how I know this...lol. Anyway, added the 90 fitting to get the line connected and now I'll mount the lower base. Here's a few pics to update the thread.

Installing the oil fitting ahead of the lower base which overhangs the rear of the block.

You need a 90 fitting back here or the oil line won't fit under the rear lip of the intake as it overhangs the block.

New SW Green Classic Gauges mounted up under the dash.
