Looks great with those reproduction bias-belted tires. How's it drive on those?

Really??? I have beem keeping my open for a respectable '69 for around 20k to make a STOCK/SUPERSTOCK car. I have found nice complete stockers in the 40 range. But would like to find a base 69 side pipe car if i could.

3 years ago at a local show there was a nice blue on blue 71 LT-1 T-top vette for sale. Already nicely restored down to the correct tires and asking price was $25k. It sold. I see the current owner driving it around frequently.

Just last year the 2nd owner of an unrestored original paint survivor 71 LT-1 vette convertible with 80k miles on it was priced at $22k here in Prescott. I almost bought that one but 2 things stopped me. It was an unusual white exterior/green interior combo, and my wife decided that after 3 other corvettes she just didn't want another one. I looked that one over pretty good and was a pretty nice original car. That one sold shortly after and haven't seen it since.

They are still out there at very reasonable prices if you're patient and look hard enough.

Ya that one would have been too nice to do what i want. If that was a 300hp 350 with auto I would have not felt so bad...
