Default Original carpet underlayment material

I don't know if I am calling this by the right name. I am trying to reinstall an original front carpet in a 66 Chevelle. The padding/underlayment/sound deadener under the carpet on the pass side has broken apart and some is missing. Is the original style material still available? I have added a picture to better identify what I am looking for. Thanks for the help.

I have tried to locate this type of material for years and have never found it. I was in the building trade for many years including wholesale flooring and never came across this same type of underlayment that was close enough to the original.

JUTE - it is used in vintage upholstery- like 1800's couches.

Thanks for the help.

Here is what I found: https://www.albrightssupply.com/Jute...z-p/jute40.htm.

I think my best plan is to salvage as much of the original stuff as I can and patch in with the more modern material where necessary.

Along this same topic, who makes the die-cut asphalted (is that the term?) underlayments that go under the jute padding?
