To borrow, rumors of our death have been greatly exaggerated. Muscle Car Review is alive and well. I just now (5:30 PM 12/2) spoke to MCR editor Drew Hardin, and all is well, we're profitable, healthy, and looking forward to a great year for 2010. The reasons the link sends you to Car Craft is that we've never had a website, not sure about the future possibility of one. But hey, we prefer working with great sites and the great people we find on yenko.net!

I believe there are many exciting issues coming up for 2010, and we truly appreciate the support. Feel free to move MCR from the back of the magazine rack and to the front shelf, right on top of those ridiculous video game magazines.

Any suggestions, fire away!

Thanks,
Arvid Svendsen

Sorry to perpetuate an apparent internet myth. Thanks for setting the record straight. I know its a tough industry now-I enjoy the magazine and wish you good luck. My only criticism is that you guys get sold a bill of goods on some of these cars that the owners claim are super special. Sad, but I think you have to be more diligent in making them back up their claims, almost as if you're buying the car. Otherwise you're perpetuating their delusions of grandeur.

Again, thanks for chiming in.

TOM

Guess I learned something...I didn't even know they were once again in existence I was a subscriber from day one back in the 1980's and when they first went under my subscription (I was paid up about 5 years in advance! ) got transferred to Musclecar Enthusiast, which I still subscribe to.

I had the same thing happen to me Bill. Was a long time subscriber from the very beginning, signed on for a few years and then got dumped on with Hot Rod magazine for the rest of my subscription!

The magazine was great and I really looked forward to each issue but thought what they did was just wrong, especially when they brought it back!

Lesson learned, Hemmings is the only mag I'll take a chance on now with a multi-year subscription.....Scot

Thank you guys for the kind words.

Wheelhop, I get MCR at Walmart, usually carry it.

Tom, you're right, we do have to be diligent about checking out the cars. The tendency is to trust the owner's claims, and frankly, most guys I meet are good, honest people. Sometimes an owner is genuinely misinformed about his car.

Gotta give Mr. Svendsen credit for chiming in here and setting the record straight.

I can tell you Arvid is indeed one of "The good guys" who lives and breaths cars just like the rest of us. How many magazine guys do you know who work well into the morning hours shooting cars after hours at an event, and then come back again the next two days after?

And if you think I am saying this because he is known to play around with an occasional AMC and that I am kissing up to get more MCACN coverage, well...you are right!

Now...get out there and buy MCR!!!

Good. I just subscribed for the first time. I've got a collection of MCR going back to 1987, but I always bought it at the newstand.
