There's a story about this Cuda. I believe it was part of the Rapid Transit System dealer caravan (as seen here) and got stolen.

Not sure where the Impala pic below is from, but the Suburban/Pickup photos are from my alma mater, Chevrolet Flint Assembly, which built pickups on Line 1 and Blazer/Suburban on Line 2.

Flint is still in operation today, building full size Chevrolet and GMC pickups.

Vince Piggins was working on the Z28 before the introduction of the Camaro in September 1966.

Ford through Shelby had fielded 2 Mustangs as did Mercury with their 2 Cougars in SCCA 1966. Piggins was determiined to show the racing world that the Camaro was superior to both the Mustang and the Cougar.

He cobbled up a car - possibly the one already shown and gave Pete Estes a ride and explained his plans for the 1967 SCCA races. Estes was 100% on board and thus was born the Z28.
