Default Three Of A Kind

Ted Robinson a Mopar lover, mechanic and racer purchased two Road Runners New, a 69 Hemi and 69.5 A12. He primarily raced the 69 Hemi, and the A12 was his first wife's car which was also raced. Well three is a charm because in 1973 he was approached by a woman who wanted to unload an 70 Hemi Cuda for the princely sum of 1,500 dollars.

Ted kept the cars until his passing in 2014. His longtime friend Jerry Brezicky, restorer and Mopar enthusiast, restorer now owns two. Ted's daughter Carlajean held on to the 70Hemi Cuda which Jerry mechanically restored.

You being there in that time period and seeing the cars you grew up with is quite a thrill. This type of story happened in many towns, but very few are brought back to life in a printed/online feature article.

I went to grade school with Jerry; great guy and the PERFECT person for these cars. I saw them when he first brought them home and kinda followed the progress. Awesome story to say the least, although not 100% factual (but close). Jerry didn’t really restore the ‘Cuda. He had the engine gone through, tidied up the engine bay, and made the car safe to operate.
The paperwork on the Road Runners is unbelievable; two one-owner cars with killer pedigree. Jerry’s shop turns out some fantastic work!
