Unhappy

I regret to say that I can't make it this year. Mark, my trailer guy for the last 4 years retired and sold his rig. I was unable to find a trailer to bring my car this year.
If anybody knows of somebody who can haul my car for less than $2k please let me know.
Otherwise, I hope to be back next year.
Andy

Well that stinks. You don't have a buddy with a pick up you could use and rent an enclosed trailer ?

Couple more newbie questions. My car doesn't have a windshield...is that going to be an issue with the track personnel ? I have the door glass in, if they need to write a number somewhere.

When I get there Thursday, are we just going to the hotel and gathering there ? I should be in around noon.

Sorry for the questions. Next year, I won't be as naive...

Really? I am not trying to be a jerk....but I do not know of any Drag Strip in American that would pass you for no front windshield....if you are seriously wanting to race. I would put a front windshield in....I know you only a have a few days.

Windshield is not really an option. The dash and interior needs to be painted, for the third time, hopefully the correct color and gloss, before I'll install the glass. Not doing that for 1 day and remove it.
Not sure why it would be required, Wild Willie never had a windshield...

Guess I'll bring the Impala then.

That is a no brainier....why sacrifice a perfect restoration...just for the sake of going down a drag strip. Finish the restoration the correct way and bring it next year.
