Default Cecil Co. Dragway nostalgic races

I took a ride down to Cecil county dragway in Rising Sun MD yesterday. I had to drop off some parts and wanted to watch the nostalgic cars race.

I was fortunate enough to run into a couple of members from this site.
Benny Pfeiffer who I spoke to briefly was racing his Flying Dutchman big block Nova and Dave Siltman in the Anderson Oldsmobile W31 Olds.

There were two nostalgic groups racing there, MANDRA Mid-Atlantic Nostalgia Drag Racing Association and UNSS United Nostalgia Stock Superstock Drag Racing Series.

Dave double downed and was entered in BOTH sanctioning associations.
His stick shift 350 Olds powered W31 was deadly consistent in six of the rounds of competition the car was within .01th of a second.
All told going 4 rounds in United nostalgic stock super stock and 3 rounds in MANDRA Stick class. Good job Dave!

Thanks Sam.
I didn’t get a very good shot of Benny’s car but here is the Flying Dutchman in the far lane. I looked for Benny afterwards and didn’t know where he was pitted.
He’s got a lot of traveling ahead of him, heading home to PA, unloading the nova then loading the white big block survivor 69 Camaro. Then off to Ohio to meet up with Doug Perry and then on to Bloomington.
