Default 1970 Rod Ideas Mag

Got this 1970 magazine in a tub of lit I just bought. It shows the new 1970 Camaro and Firebird. Plus Dyno testing the Chev 454 LS-6 option engine.

Damn, pics wouldn’t load, security token missing.

Would love to see the 454 LS6 test. I am not sure I have ever seen that article.

Flashback Road Test of a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle LS6

Editor’s note: A prophesy of the 1970 LS6 Chevelle’s place in muscle car history, this road test originally appeared in the May 1970 issue of Hot Rod.

Love this line: "No matter what the shift point, the rear tires always spun off a bit of elapsed time with each upshift".

For some reason, pics from my I pad are too large. I’ll do some on my phone.

I have about 1,000 magazines from the 60's and 70's in a closed. They're fun to look at once in a while. I don't know what will happen to them when I'm gone, I guess they will get tossed in the trash like all the old brochures and Warranty Plates I've collected.
