like i said before,it was not real bright there, and i might be off on some digits.

Then don't you think you should be sure BEFORE you list it at auction with a THREE THOUSAND DOLLAR shipping charge?

I don't buy the "marketing a product" thing. Just look at all the negative comments on this site. Here, only a few people have seen the auction. Imagine the other thousands of people that saw the auction before Ebay ended it. The ones that saw the shipping fees said to themselves "this guy is nuts" and close the auction. If you just wanted to use the auction for exposure, it should have been listed with a reasonable shipping charge and a reserve.

He also listed a 69 W30 project under "salvage parts cars", to save the listing fee and ended the auction early. Talk about navigating fees. Ebay is a business and deserves to earn their share. Play by the rules.

i am given the opportunity by ebay to list an auction as i see fit.i also pay the fees associated with the listing.
nobody here did that.
if you don't agree, contact ebay, instead of crying like a bunch of 6th graders that didnt get the same flavor ice cream somebody else got.

there was no scam,i think some of you are just a little paranoid.
it'd kind of hard to run a scam when i use my real name on the internet, including this board.
i don't see too many people doing that here, actually.i wonder why?

as i said before,if youre interested in the stuff, call the owner, instead of wasting bandwidth.

You have to give Andy this. 1] He is a paid member listing parts 2] He did post pics and a contact # 3] He did first offer it to members with a price and not just an ebay link for members to bid on against everyone else .. If you dont like the shipping price call the contact person and see if its a misprint or if you can pick it up etc..

What does that have to do with anything?

1. He listed it as a COPO block, without making sure it WAS a COPO block.

2. By his own admission, he did not bring a light and make sure of his numbers, BUT listed it with a price here. What if someone would have taken him at his word "because he is a member here". We shoud hold ourselves to a higher standard!

3. Trying to "Fool" someone with a 3,000 shipping charge is just wrong, not matter how you try and "market" it. Period. So, no, I don't feel like he deserves any slack.

Even know, instead of being a man and admitting that he is wrong, he is blaming everyone else.

Mossport...You are a Vette guy. How can you think the tri-power was in the trunk ? The 400 hp engine even has a different code .

Charlie I think thats because on the tank stickers ive seen it says 390HP and then down on the bottom it makes a reference to 400HP "conversion" ..i think alot of people think that meant it was added after the factory since it references 2 motors in a way on the stickers, when it was just some type of factory notation .

Wrong about the block being a COPO, but listing it as such, and then not even taking the time to check the numbers, or bring a light to make sure of what you were listing.... for a start. Then it was a vette tri power, but nope, suffix is wrong. Then it was "Just going by what the guy told me".

Everyone else for calling you on it:

1. "come on now,are you guys really that slow?"
2. "what im doing is called MARKETING A PRODUCT"
3. "i cant believe i have to explain this,i guess some people don't get it."

For starters, YOU listed the block here. Then several people tried to tell you that the listing was wrong, nicely. THEN you listed the block on ebay, in what I would call, a deceptive manner. After all of that, you admit that you were unsure of any of the numbers, due to low lighting.

All I think anyone here is trying to say is that, yep, we all make mistakes, but listing the block with a 3k shipping charge hidden in the auction was a bit cheesey.
