Default original vs repo tach 69 Camaro

Hello folks-
How can I tell a 69 Camaro 396/375 hp factory tach from a repo tach?
Does anybody have side by side tach photos to point out the differences?
Thank you!

Any chance you can post a pic of what you have? Folks here can then judge the gloss of the black and the green of the numbers, the positioning of the numbers too, to tell you what you need to know.

Easiest way is to look at the back of the tach. Some of the latest ones are very hard to tell just from the face.

For comparison, here is my L34 born with tach. Is yours date stamped?

Dave H i am going to wait until later on in the resto to check for the date code. I can just see my ham fists somehow breaking off a stud!

It comes out very easily so don't sweat it. I think I just used a 1/4" drive socket without the ratchet attached to unscrew the nuts.
