Default 63 Corvette Coupe with huge flares

Would be tempted to leave as is, but those flares would be hard to live with.

IIRC, Hot Rod Magazine did a spread on this car.

I had a 1964 Vintage Race Car that had the same flares. They were on most all of the C2 Corvettes that raced in the 70's to be competitive. They sure are ugly, though.

At 70K, it's still awesome fodder for a resto-mod (not that anyone wants anymore resto-mods). Would be obscenely expensive to restore to a stocker.

A lot of the weird and hard to find 63 parts are actually still there.

Strange that someone put a big block core support in it, but it still appears to have the factory front clip.

I must admit, when the car was on BaT, I entertained it for a short period of time. I'd steam clean it, freshen the mechanicals and wiring, and beat the thing within an inch of it's life! Certainly conflicts with my purist nature...........

Roll that into a cruise night. It would be a conversation piece for certain. Throw a pizza on the roof along with a couple of beer cans. The haters will always hate.

Tim, I bet this car raced at Road America (Elkhart Lake, WI) at one time or another.
