Default Spinner ears

The end of the Spinner ears was sometime around 66-67 era.

You could still get the three ear and two ear Spinners on the full wheel disc and solid wheels up to 1966.

In 1967 many new safety regulations appeared on automobiles including no more eared Spinners.

The 1967 wire wheel disc on the Tempest Series (GTO) was ugly IMO.

Below is the ‘65 Pontiac two eared Spinner.
Then the ‘67 wire wheel disc with no ears.

Glad the original owner of my '65 had the dealer upgrade the hubcaps from "deluxe" to "custom", as I like them better than even the Rally wheels.

Default ‘67

Seems I goofed.
I forgot about the 1967 Custom Wheel Disc with the three ears.

Default 1964 Tempest Series

The ‘64 Custom wheel disc covers are by far one of the coolest eared spinner style covers ever made.

Tenny has one spinning in post #2.

I think so, too. Their design is the most beautiful and impressive to me. I am planning to change the wheel disc to 64 for my newly acquired car.
