Default 1968 Motion Bug?

I know there was a 70 and a 72 ThunderBug that Bill Mitchell raced and ran low 11's. Didn't know if there was anything earlier.

Has anyone ASKED him to post pics of docs? Agree with Dan, if he won't post docs, really nothing to see.

front and rear turn signals are from a later bug (70+). Most of the mods I see are very common and were all available through any VW shop and of course through JC Whitney.... The only thing I see thats really trick is the fuel tank vent running across the tank behind the spare tire. I haven't seen that done before.

All you have to do is read the description of car on eBay and you will know immediately that it is bogus. Maybe the VW was worked on at Motion Minicar or has some Minicar accessories, but that's it?

Did you guys read the questions he answered? Good reading. Ok. Here's my take. Who cares? It didn't matter anyway when it comes to these cars. The only Motion cars that are worth money seem to be any that aren't Volkswagens. I had the original motion dune buggy that supposedly towed the thunderbug and it was pretty much worthless even thou it was on the cover of a magazine back in the day. I had it for 5+ years an got less than I paid and the guy I sold it to even took less than me. It was a cool car and was the closest I'll ever get to owning a real motion car but virtually worthless.

they were all "shop cars" . 35G is insane. I had several VWs with Motion mods, all stuff available over the counter. This does not even appear to have any fiberglass mods which was the first thing we did, flared fenders front and rear. add pro trac 50s and 60s on appliance chrome rims, dual webers, Mallory ignition. there were so many VWs in the neighborhood with close to 100hp and getting a few inches of air (before the big tires up front)

* after looking at engine pics I agree with "bogus", Motion threw EVERYTHING at those little motors, this has nothing. and Don is right, I don't think the Manx is pulling 5 digits now.
