Default 69 Camaro 4 Row Radiator in L-78?

Other than 427 equipped 69 Camaros, what other 69 Camaros received 4-row radiators? My understanding on L-78 cars with 4-speed the 3-row "ZD" radiator was standard.

Was it possible to get a 4-row for an L-78 car? If so, would that be a "UY" tag?

There's usage info and tag codes listed at the CRG cooling systems data here:

As of the April 1, 1969 ordering info, ordering an L78 with 3.73 or 4.10 gears included HD cooling. It was bundled into G80 positraction with an upcharge to $56.90. Posi was normally $42.15.

While this included a 4-core radiator, it was not always the curved-neck. A few late May/early June COPOs were built with straight-neck 4-core radiators. Codes remain the same.

William, that's very helpful info. So to confirm, a late build (Nov. 1969) L-78 '69 Camaro (4 speed) with a 4.10 rear would get a 4 core radiator as part of the G80 package? Would that be a straight neck or curved neck and in either case would this have a "UY" radiator tag?

Most likely; UY code. I know of no straight-neck 4-core radiators that late in production.

Entirely possible they substituted a 4-core radiator for certain option combos.

Optional V01 Heavy-Duty Radiator application info states: <span style="font-style: italic">Included when air conditioning is ordered. Not available when 396-cu-in engine or Special Performance Package is ordered.&quot;</span>

PHR tested an L89/auto '69 Camaro SS/RS [11A L507834] in the April '69 issue. Article states the car had 3.73 gears. Engine bay photo shows a straight-neck radiator.
