Arrow RARE 1969 MA6 Duel Disc Clutch Set 1969 Corvette L71 L89 427 Like New

IMO I don't think all these parts are NOS but the Borg & Beck Pressure Plate is like new, the Flywheel is like new and I think the Veelok Discs are in fact NOS as the white letter stamps still show clearly (If used these would have been gone IMO).
The Flywheel may have been used for a very short while as it shows evidence of the cranks impression. (See Photos)
They are definitely all TRUE GM parts as the stamps on the discs coincide with all the 3959176 course ten spline parts ever shown for this set up.
Flywheel has part number 3963543 which is correct for this set up.

The 1969 Corvette had the MA6 Option come out in April of 1969 and just over 100 Corvettes were ordered with this set up. The L71 427 435 HP had a code LT were the 427 L89 435 HP with Aluminum heads had no distinct code for this option. There are 2 sets currently on ebay and I linked both of them in the next comment for comparison and you will see everything I have here matches up just fine for a TRUE MA6 set up.

$3500 USD or B.O.
Shipping $100

Very Nice. My 69 435 corvette had this option. Sold the car to a big collector in Dallas Texas. I will let Howard know there's one here for sale.

----Can't remember,,,What bellhousing does this set-up use? I had the pleasure of owning a 69 L88 many years ago and I believe all L88s with M22s had this clutch set-up......Bill S

Read the links provided in one comment, clearly they state this was not apart of the L88 package, sure it would fit a L88 Manual trans but not assembly line correct for that application. I guess some guys back in the day bought them over the GM counter for there L88, L78 etc..

As far as the Bellhousing goes I am sure this system fits all the Standard housings M20 M21 and M22 came with from the factory, I don't think a unique bellhousing was made for just this Dual Clutch set up.

Also there is a 26 Fine spline Dual clutch set up that came out in 1971 so it could be used on the 1971 LS6 Corvette, some guys would buy this set up to fit there 1970 Chevelle LS6 back in the day or other models but of course it was over the counter in this case.

I have heard these dual Clutch systems are extremely smooth to operate on the street with a very soft and easy shifting clutch.

----Thanks for the education! The L88 I had was not stock when I bought it so it is possible that it was changed out when the engine was reworked by Reids Automotive back in the very early 70's. Jimmy Reid added roughly another 125 horses. It was an absolute beast. The car still resides in Scottsdale as far as I know. You are also correct about smoothness and ease of use. Best clutch I ever had in a high perf application...….Bill S

----Is the flywheel 101/2 or 11?

The Dual Veelok Discs are 10.6" and the Flywheel of course is bigger then the discs,
I think L88 came with a 12 & 1/2" light weight flywheel that was different then this anyways.
Thanks Bill

Extra Photos requested by Charles a member here about the center plate.
Charles looking at it again This piece is 100% nos never been sandblasted or used in any way. All internal lines match the 3 tabs on outside and it is factory balanced with paint dabs still showing. No evidence of sandblasting of any kind.
Keep in mind NOS parts get surface specs or rust sitting for 50 years in some cases.
Hope these photos are what your looking for.
