Unlike many substances, water expands as it freezes. An ice cube takes up about 9% more volume than the water used to make it.

The oldest known dinosaur is Saltopus. It was a small carnivore (about the size of a duck) that lived 245 million years ago. Remains of this dinosaur have only been found in Scotland, so the UK might hold the key to the origin of dinosaurs.
