If all you do is windshields the GM license would be cost prohibitive... when I was looking at doing rad hoses a few years back it was $2500 a year plus 10% of gross sales of licensed products.

I got my w/s from ECS today. They did a nice job of the LOF & date. Windshield measured about .200 thick. Had another w/s in the shop, not LOF, & it measured .270 thick. The ECS w/s is definitely off shore, Singapore....Joe

Interesting note on the thickness Joe. The CRG Glass report mentions that for windshields, "AS-1 glass is typically composed of two pieces of 1/8-inch glass laminated on either side of 0.030-inch of PVB plastic." So OEM would've been around 0.280", pretty much as the scond one you measured, versus the ECS being somewhat thinner.

I talked to a friend of mine who has been in the glass business since the 80s. He said when he goes to set my new glass, he will use a different urethane so it will sit correctly for the w/s moldings. I guess once installed it will be fine....Joe
