Default Yenko, McMurray, PA

When did the McMurray, PA site officially open? I was under the impression that it was in '72'ish, but this old advertisement for the Yenko Deuce Novas clearly shows the 2 sites....

That ad may be referencing a McMurray, PA location the Yenko family had as a used car and storage lot

the Yenko Chevrolet Dealer now Sun Chevrolet

2939 Washington Rd, McMurray, PA 15317

opened about 1974

Yenko Honda now South Hills Honda

3663 Washington Rd, McMurray, PA 15317

opened about 1984

The Yenko Honda property was a Yenko Saab dealer (I think) and was a used car lot before that (I think)
hard to say because the Yenko family had a bunch of locations for Chevy Honda Saab Porsche Subaru and used car lots and storage lots

Ok, that helps - I was a little off with my '72 since it was '74, but something was over there in '70 so a used lot is a viable option. This ad is slightly different in that it excludes the option details, so Yenko was trying to unload them at both locations...

how about an ad for the " 1970 1/2 Yenko Deuce "

Yenko points out the loss of compression and horsepower and reduced warranty time on the 1971 hi po cars

also says he applied for NHRA classification

Yea, we love that ad because it still has the white wall tires on it and the 'applied for' NHRA cert that was never received!

found this ad that shows two locations

says Rt 19 North of Donaldsons Crossroads

I think that would be the Yenko Honda location?

3663 Washington Rd, McMurray, PA 15317

also found a newpaper picture but not sure what year that was
