Re: Whats JR going to do??
[ QUOTE ]
Word is that he will go with the number 33, so that he can really develop his own brand. If he wants to later on, he can always drop on of the 3s. [/ QUOTE ] They are saying the #3 is retired & canot be used? So Jr. chose #33?

Re: Whats JR going to do??
I'm optimistic about this because it could be just the change that Jr. needs to jump-start his career. Maybe he needs to get out on his own and out from under the shadow of his late father much the same way that Dale Sr. had to. Jr. needs to make his name on his own now and the best way to do that is to leave the nest. I think this will prove to have been the right thing to do.

Re: Whats JR going to do??
[ QUOTE ]
RCR owns #3... [/ QUOTE ] Well...almost. Although NASCAR licenses car numbers on a annual basis, Childress has been allowed to retain control of the # 3 since Dale's untimely death. Its unofficially retired so to speak. JR himself said it would take alot of soul searching for him to run the number in the future or if ever, and then only with Childress's blessing. In the meantime, I could see a red or black # 33 running out of RCR with JR behind the wheel.
