Default 1970 Chevelle sun visors 1-post vs. 2-post?

Did some 1970 Chevelle hardtops come with 1-post sun visors and others 2-post? What dictated which style it came with? I need new sun visors and I don't know if they should be 1 or 2 post? Is the rear view mirror mount different for the 2-post in order for it to latch to the mirror base? My car is just driver-quality so should I just do whichever I prefer? I never thought I'd have so many questions about something as simple as sun visors!

Brian,

All 1968-69 300 Deluxe models have a single post, see picture.

1970 Chevelle 300 Deluxe model would be the ONLY 1970 Chevelle model.....to have them. Possibly the Nomad or Greenbiar Wagon too. It`s a base line option.

Rainer, you out there? You would know for certain.

Actually, Dan, I don't know for certain. I'll have to take a look at my own 70 300 and see what it has.

Mine is not a 300 Deluxe so I guess it should probably have the 2-post visors. Is the mirror base the same or is it different to latch the second post to?
Thanks guys!

Yes, plastic molded mirror base has the provivions to latch both the left and right sun-visors.

Just circling back on this post to confirm that the 1970 Chevelle 300 or base model (134xx VIN) does indeed have single post visors with no pins at the end to snap into the rear view mirror base.
