Default Re: Feature Car

CANADA SOLD SOME REAL STRANGE CARS IN THE 50'S AND 60'S. IN CANADA ONLY THERE WAS THE
GRAND PARISIENNE WHICH WAS LIKE THE BONNEVILLE,THE STRATOCHIEF WHICH WAS LIKE THE STARCHIEF AND THE LAURENTION WHICH WAS LIKE THE CATALINA. THESE CARS WERE PONTIACS
WITH CHEVY FRAMES AND DRIVETRAINS. IT'S FUNNY LOOKING TO SEE A WIDE TRACK BODY ON A
SMALLER CHEVY FRAME. WHILE 409'S WERE AVAILABLE THEY WERE VERY RARE. I HAVE NEVER
SEEN ONE WITH A DUAL 4 BARREL AND THE FACTORY LITERATURE THAT I HAVE DOESN'T MENTION IT AS BEING AVAILABLE.( I KNOW THAT DOESN'T MEAN ANYTHING) I LIVE IN WESTERN NY
NEAR THE BORDER AND HAVE HAD HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO SEE A BUNCH OF THESE STRANGE
CARS. IN NIAGARA FALLS THERE IS A BIG BLOCK
GRAND PARISIENNE WITH THE GRAND PRIX FRONT END THAT THE ORIGINAL OWNER STILL DRIVES AS HIS EVERY DAY CAR.
