Did you try contacting Mecum? Don't ask for the buyers name. Just explain the situation and give them your phone number so they can contact the buyer and if interested, he will call you.

I sent them an email last week but haven’t heard anything. I plan on trying again.

On a side note, a friend stopped over yesterday. He looked at the case and it needs to be repaired or used as a conversation piece as the front of the trans, where the input shaft bearing sits, is damaged. It appears it spun inside the trans and now it’s enlarged. Probably why it was replaced. I still would like to see it go to the car.....if the current owner wants it.

The right person could probably weld and re-machine or cnc the needed opening.

I've welded several of those Muncie cases and it's a real pain. It's pretty trashy aluminum.
