78 Malibu brake booster

I am helping my neighbor get his Malibu running. It has a booster on it that looks like it could have came off my 69 camaro. Someone painted it and it is a mess. Would this have a single diaphram booster with the gold finish or would it have something different? I looked at right stuff and they dont show a booster for a malibu at all. Weird thing, there is nothing inside this booster except about a half pint of brake fluid, no diaphram at all. Someone else built the car and they had some screwed up stuff in the brakes
