'65 Impala 396/4-sp, Absolutely Loaded
What an insanely cool car - a bench seat 4-speed with all the desirable power options, and even the multiplex system.
In this case, I believe the trans swap actually increases the value. There's no way you could recreate this for the $43k asking price - will be interesting to see if it sells. Link to 1965 Impala 396 Convertible auction 164675F331459 |

65 Impala cvt.
I have no interest in, nor do I have any skin in the game on this car. I know this car very well and have actually done some work to it and supplied a few NOS parts for it as well. The emblems are in the correct location, yes. This is a very nice older restoration that was done in Michigan maybe 15-20 years ago and the car still looks and runs super nice. The 4 speed conversion was done 100% correctly using all righteous 65 stuff including the correct trans, shifter and NOS shifter boot and metal sealing ring. It even has the correct plastisol ring around the carpet opening, not the metal rig holding the boot down like everyone always does. The options and accessories on this car are all legit. The cowl tag looks like alphabet soup there are so many options on the tag. Level air susp.; A/C; P Seat, Tilt, AM/FM Stereo, etc. The autronic eye was a dealer installed correct accessory as was the accessory bowtie tach. This is a great car that runs and drives really nice. He has spent a fair amount of money on the car making it nicer including a very expensive new top.

I disagree. The 396 fender flags look a bit too high in placement. Heres a pic of the original 12 mile 1965 396 Impala out of the Lambrecht Collection that sat in storage.
