Default Vintage Yenko Chrome Steel Valve Covers Big Block Chevy

I have this vintage pair of Yenko embossed chrome steel Big Block Chevy valve covers on ebay starting at $9.99 with NO RESERVE. These are real deal covers from the 70's. These can to me with a set of 14011077 aluminum heads that were found at an estate sale. I understand these covers are now reproduced. These are no reproductions, they are the real deal.

Here is a link to the listing for anyone interested:

Thanks and good luck,

Jason

Sorry to say, these are not originals. Real ones don't have that raised center portion and the Yenko logo should have stars. They have made these repros for quite some time and it looks like this pair was used and/or stored outside for awhile so while they may show age, they're not from Yenko.

Originals also only have a breather hole in one of the 2 covers. They were available in raw steel or chrome.

Joe,

Are you sure there was not more than one style made? These are quite heavy and have been in storage for a very long time.

Yes, there was only one style made. As I said, they did come chrome plated or bare steel, but all were the same stampings. My guess is yours are probably older repros, which may be why they’re heavier gauge steel than newer ones. They are definitely not original Yenko pieces though, that I am sure of.
