Default Finally got it- 4k mile Hemi Super Bee!

As some of you know, I have been chasing a 4,000 mile 1969 Hemi Super Bee that a buddy of mine owned for some time.

Well, it cost me a big bag of cabbage, my 69 Judge 4 speed with factory a/c, and a plane ticket to New York - but it is now safe and sound in my garage.

If I were as smart as Bruce, I could post pictures here. But since I am not, here is a link to the full story and pictures on my website:

http://www.colinsclassicauto.com/detail.php?car=175

Thought you guys might like an update and to finally see the car! Now if it would just stop snowing I could go drive it...oh well, nothing 5 months won't fix!

Colin

Nice Car Colin. I have some old Friends in Seattle, Rick and Ron they are brothers, who bought a 69 Hemi Super Bee Coupe. The car was Red with a Black Top,Black Bench seat and Factory 4 Speed. They bought it from the Original Owner who I think was an Older Lady. They got the Car in the late 70s or early 80s. I think it only had like 12,000 Miles and Looked Brand New. I liked it because it was a Coupe, the rear windows popped open sideways, instead of Rolling Down like normal. I also had a 69 Superbee Coupe 440+6 Pack, Black with White Top. Black Bench Seat,Column Shift TFlite and a 4:10 Dana and a Fiberglass 6-Pak Hood with No Hinges. Neat old Car.

i'll bring down the motion, clear a 1320 and we could race.

it's a phase III, so i'm good for 11's.

survivor cars are where it's at period, thanks colin.

Slick ride Colin. Perseverance pays off in a big way. Love the story. Enjoy your new ride. I motored the EV2 E74 RR to the gas station this afternoon and put another 3.2 miles on her. Maybe a Broncos fan will make a play for the two of them. LOL!!!!!

Guys - thanks for all the kind words.

Stuart, you can have it, I'll trade you straight across for that white car you have with the silly stripes, short serial number, and hillbilly exhaust sticking out the sides. A guy your age needs a nice quiet car with white walls! LOL

Mike, you hit on my favorite muscle cars of all time, the A12 Mopars. I have 3 of them, 2 RR's and 1 Bee. Most pure street racer ever from the factory, at least in my opinion!

Bruce, stop ing . LOL

Fred, I am ready to race any time. I've got 1320 marked off right around the corner. No offense, but I am not going to race you on those original tires. How about I just pick another car out, like my 500 CID "440" 6 Pack Runner?? That would be a good match to your ride.

Sam - glad to hear you are keeping the miles low on the Orange Hemi! Your car and this one would be a great pair for somebody who wants lo-mile Hemis! I think if we add our mileage together we would still be under factory warranty? LOL

Thanks again- and thanks for all the emails also.

Colin

Colin...If you sell me that car dirt cheap and help me with a Barrett-Jackson purchase I would be proud to try and shoehorn it in the Futureliner and go for a cruise...

Now THAT'S an action shot! I can feel the bearings starving for oil just looking at it! LOL

Needless to say, the Hemi Bee won't be pulling a wheel stand any time soon. Esp. not on those skinny little white walls with the nubs still on them

I agree that

Colin
