Default Sunflower Yellow Duece, Madison WI???

Just wondering if anyone from Wisconsin remembers a Yellow Duece that was in the Madison/McFarland area in the mid 1980's? I believe it was owned by a guy named Ron Byrd, but it's been a while.

I've been trying to pick the memories of my friends, but there were only a handful of sightings.

It could be one of two possibilities. There is one that was sold new at Thorstad Chev, and is now owned by Ron Norman of McHenry Classic Parts - undergoing restoration. It's a 4speed without p/s.

The other possibility is one that was sold new at Marve Minneman Chev. in Youngstown, OH. It may have been in the MN or WI area by the mid 80's, but I'm not sure. It is now in central WI, and is a restified driver. It's an a/t with p/s.

I think that Mike Miller is the owner. I don't think he visits this site. Also has a very nice red deuce. Schonye

Earl, I think Mike bought that car from Jim Parks. I've seen pics of it with a blk vinyl top years ago. I'd still like to know the story on that one pictured street racing in canada. Sure looks like the real deal. Schonye

After I posted that I got thinking that it may have been Vince. It was Jim Parks that I was talking to about it at Jefferson in about 89 or 90 when Mike had his red deuce up there. If theres one up there thats pretty cool. I'd like to meet the owner, and see the car. Schonye

Just saw this old post .............. I purchased this car from Mike .... He is a great guy. We did a quick build on the drivetrain and took it to the SCR18 event, it ran a best of 10.78. We will have the car "As Is" at MCCAN this year on display, we will then do a total restoration in 2016 and bring it back the show Its an Auto car and Mike told me that the Vinyl top was dealer installed ...... we will restore it in Day to configuration and keep the Vinyl top .... Kool car Scott and nice race car build you guys did with it.

This is Jim Park's former Yellow Yenko Deuce from the Madison Area. It was @ MCACN a couple years ago.
