The 1970 Rebel Machine is introduced to the press/public at the 1969 NHRA World Finals at Dallas International Motor Speedway on October 25, 1969. 10 cars were brought: 3 for NHRA officials to drive, 3 for a parade led by "Miss Golden Shifter" Linda Vaughn (above photo) and the remaining 4 placed in AMC dealerships in the Dallas Ft. Worth area.

The 1 of 1 1968 Z/28 Convertible built for Chevrolet Executive Pete Estes was the first muscle car to break the $100,000 mark at auction in 1991.

Though you see them all the time, the F60x15 RWL Goodyear Polyglas GT tires were never an option on the Challenger R/T. Only E60x15s. The F60s were standard on the Hemi.
