From it's first year (1967) to it's last year (1971) the 3 speed Torqueflite auto trans was standard on the GTX. In 1967 you could substitute the 4 speed manual at no charge. But beginning in 1968, if you wanted the 4 speed, you had to order the HD Sure-Grip Performance Axle for an additional $138.90. In 1969 it was called the Track Pak and cost an additional $142.85. This remained a mandatory option for 4 speed GTX cars through 1971. |
