Default BEREJIK drag car

This is not my auction, but thought it was cool and got me wondering about the rest of the car?

It is that one...a damn shame it ended up getting stripped. Who knows what shape its previous owners (read: beaters) let it degrade to leading up to it getting parted out.

Here's a photo of this sedan's hardtop brother at some car show.

The car's from Needham, Mass, it's probably New England Dragway.

Man…what a cool car. That is very sad that it was not restored. Thanks for all the great photos. The Berejik Oldsmobile dealer sure sold some cool cars "back in the day"!

Let me get with George Berejik and ask. I think I still have his contact information. I worked around the corner from their Dealership in Needham. It closed a long time ago but he kept a lot of his collection and was a great guy to chat with.

Here's
The story on the Berejik
68 442 ( George told me about it a while back )
The first 68 442 he had was destroyed in a towing
Accident along with the tow car .
George sold the 68 post coupe to two brothers
Geoge kept in touch with one of them
Occasionally.( the brothers had an argument
About the car) so the car was scrapped .
George found out called the junk yard
But the car had already been cut up
And the rest crushed ..
Some one had ended up with the doors
I remember seeing them for sale
At a car show - swap meet a few years back
For about 300 bucks
The current owner has been trying to sell
Them for a few years ...

Wow! The last dial-in is even still on the window. The doors are very cool to see but sad at the same time to realize the car didn't survive.
