What color should the seat tracks be on a 70 cheve
I am bringing my seats to legendary to get them redone. I have the frames blasted and cleared just not sure if the seat tracks for the fornt buckets should be clear or black? They dont appear to have any paint on them now.

Re: What color should the seat tracks be on a 70 cheve
Are you referring to the large spring that runs from base to base (front to back) on one side of each seat? If so this is also unpainted on mine.
(These seats are not restored)

Re: What color should the seat tracks be on a 70 cheve
There are 2 springs. The big one which holds the seat from sliding back on the tracks, had no paint.
The yellow spring, spring loads the handle, so it stays in a notch. The tracks are natural/no paint/rust. If you don't want rust, they can be painted with a steel paint, but it wouldn't be correct. |
