Stock type mechanical pump Dave. Had a couple little leaks off a pair of lines and a couple bowls that needed tweaking but other than that it was pretty much uneventful. Hit if off first bump as timing was nearly dead on and all was good from there.

When it warms up some I'll do some further tuning and really get it dialed in. Also waiting for a couple breathers I ordered and they should be here in a few more days. Shake down runs are only weeks away now.

Yes, You are correct Rich, The photo of the car with the Magnum wheels was the Metro Burn Unit Show in Parma on Chevrolet Blvd. I believe that was 2004.

The car did get a new pair of shoes yesterday. It's now wearing a set of repro Magnum SS wheels with Firestone Wide Oval F70/15 Radials. These will be used whenever they are needed, but most of the time the car will dawn vintage bias ply rubber. New breathers were added yesterday and a few shakedown runs will be scheduled when things thaw out here in a couple weeks.

Had a few small fuel leaks to deal with but it fired up first turn and was a breeze to dial in. Still need to set the timing and adjust the float bowls, but ran it for 5 minutes before driving it back into the shop for the night. Here's a little compilation I threw together this evening. Video of the car running is right at the end of the project pics.

More when it's dialed in and properly timed. Sounds pretty nasty even through the exhaust.

Good GOOD video Graeme! Nicely done! I have to admit i like the sound of your Nova better than that song!!!

OK Sam. Here's a walk around clip. No pics, no talking and no music.

Just an 1800 rpm idle through the exhaust.

Man that was awesome. Read Sam's reply and clicked on the video again to watch it (or better yet...hear it) and the next video that loaded after the car was this Corsair on a first start up. Watched the whole video and I flat out love these planes. My all time favorite WWII plane and the coolest engines powering them.
