Default thoughts on this engine vin stamp

car was built march 3rd block date is late 69 but the engine assembly date is april 2nd this is a baltimore built car. if someone went through the trouble to re stamp the block why would they have the assembly date a month after the car was built?

What are you using to deduce that the car was built March 3rd?

I don't profess expertise, but those block stamps look legit to me.

Like I mentioned, the block stamps look OK to me, but hopefully others who are more knowledgeable than me will chime in here on that.

If the block stamps, build sheet, and TT are all legit, you've got a real conundrum.

I see a faint stamp below the legible Tonawanda stamp. Might be a double stamp? Broach marks look good.

Is it possible the stamp should have been set up as 0204 rather than 0402?
