Ken It depended on the dealer. People were starting to become aware of the decal duplicating the exterior badging already in 88.
GM attempted to mitigate the duplication visuals by moving the decal to the rear portion of the door to make it less obvious to the eye. Where my 89 was ordered the salesmen there ordered a ton of DX3's. I used to walk the lot and check them out. At any time they had 25-30 IROC's on the lot and as I recall the majority were DX3 cars. |
