Default xt wheels

What other years used xt wheel? I know 69 Camaro, Firebird & Nova. What else?
The reason I ask is I have a K11 dated 11 10.
Thank you, Joe

I don't think I have ever seen one dated newer than 69. Just learned something new.

i dont know about Novas, ive never seen one, but i have owned a couple off a 70 W31..theres a w30 owned by a guy on classic oldsmobile thats been documented with XTs...its a 2 owner survivor and they where on there day 1...BUT...always on early cars..so maybe ran til they where gone on the lines...dunno, but the 70 442 guys are always desperately seeking them

if i remember correctly..Stefano bought the car off ebay...and its the car with XTs,,hes here all the time ask him...i think he even uses the car as an avatar

arent FC the replacement? or some similar code?

just cant remember anymore

I own 2 XT wheels with 70 dates. A used one dated K10 4 16 and a NOS one dated K10 4 17. Would the XT's used on Pontiacs or Olds cars use a different digit in the position after the K to designate which division car it was made for? If this is true, wouldn't my 2 wheels only be originally used on a 70 Nova? I knew that the 70 Camaro didn't use that wheel code as I own 4- 14x7 steel wheels that I know came off a 70 Camaro L78. I don't have access to those wheels at the moment but if I remember correctly it seems the code was AB or something else that started with an "A". I'd like to trade the 2 XT wheels listed to someone who has a pair of the same, dated K19 1 30 XT.

Loren, The number next to the K designates the Kelsey Hayes plant. Your NOS XT wheel would be deciphered as follows:

K: Kelsey- Hayes designation

1:Plant:
1= Romulus Michigan
2= Windsor Ontario Canada
3= Philadelphia Pennsylvania

0: last digit of year, in your case 1970

The 14×7 steel wheel that came on the Super Sport Camaro's in 1970 were coded CL.
This info is from the Chevy by the numbers book. I hope this helps, Rob.

Thank you. I had it in my head that the "1" meant Chevrolet but in thinking about it, that really doesn't make sense but designating the plant does. Yes, I bet that 70 wheel code is correct. It's been along time since I looked at them. Any idea what was different in 1970 that the Camaro had a CL code 14x7 steel wheel and the Nova received an XT 14x7 steel wheel?

Thank you again.

Loren
