Default Looking for my grandfathers Chevelle

I'm looking for my grandfather's 1969 Chevelle SS from what I know from family word-of-mouth history is that it was a 69' Chevelle SS 396 with a 4-speed manual, it was dark green and had a black vinyl top and white racing stripes the were only on the hood and was sold in Middletown Delaware, possibly from Shallcross Chevrolet? any info would help it means a lot to me.

That's honestly not a whole lot to go on. Do you or your family have any pictures of the car? There wouldn't be any paperwork with the VIN on it, would there? Perhaps also try to find some local car groups on Facebook and ask if anyone in the area remembers it.

'89 Mustang GT- 3.55, subframe connectors, muffler delete, and a couple other minor mods. Exactly as he wanted it, so how it shall stay

Also:

2004 Dodge Ram Hemi GTX- #192 of 433

Ain't no fun in viewing your car as an 'investment'. Get out there and beat on it!

If it had stripes on the hood from the factory then it wasn't a 69 chevelle. Funny i was just talking to the owner of shallcross chevrolet ten minutes ago. He is a friend of mine. His son Chris is a judge with us in the Bow Tie class for the camaro nationals. His father sold the dealership many years ago. They were a country type dealership and sold many trucks but they did sell one 67 Z.

That's true, but sometimes dealership customers - after seeing the 'band-aid' stripes on new 69 Camaros, wanted the same thing on the new 69 Chevelle they were purchasing, and the dealerships would add them on. So his grandfather's Chevelle could have had them on since day one and other family members just assumed it came from the factory that way.
