Default 1969 Trans Am RAIV

The 1969 Trans Am is so distinctive and unique, and when optioned with a RAIV it was both a show and go package.

I really enjoy Kevin's take on these rare cars. He misspoke about the holley carb, should be a XB Rochester, and I'd bet he knew that, just got overwhelmed by the shear beauty of that engine!
That car and maybe the RAIV '69 Judge would be high on my list!!

Nice story Steve , This car come off the north East Coast about 15 years ago and is one of the nicest ones . For you numbers guys out of the 46- 69 TA RAIV 4 speeds built 10 of them came through with blue deluxe interior and In Dash tach w/ stack gauges ! Which were the two most desirable options.

At that point in time, the 1969 Trans Am was the best performance car Pontiac had ever built. Overall an excellent job, but as noted there's a few errors in the commentary. The Trans Am option was $1072, not $775 as stated in the video. Also, the "stacked gauges" were not exclusive to the Trans Am, any 1969 Firebird could be ordered with them.

One 1969 Trans Am was ordered with wire wheel covers, and it was a RAIV car, with a column shift automatic.
