Default 69 Camaro 396 - Smog Tubes with AC

First, I want to say thank you as I’ve been doing restoration/repairs on my wife’s 1969 Camaro, this site, and others, have answered most of my questions, and there have been many.

That being said I cannot find any information on where I can get smog tubes for a 69 396 with air conditioning. I do not know who ordered a convertible with air conditioning in 1969 but I they have thrown a wrench in my work on this car.

I need a set of tubes for the driver side. Also, would like to find the adapters for the press in fittings on two of the passenger side tubes. Anyone have any ideas?

I can find the non ac tubes from almost any supplier but the tube for the ac cars seem to be non existent.

Hi and welcome, I don't know of an aftermarket supplier for these either, but I can offer a photo of what they look like if that helps any.

I had two NOS sets and there were subtle differences between each...

If it helps, photos and part numbers in this thread:

Good luck with the project!

Anyone who has a wife or girlfriend that does not want to ‘ruin’ her hair.

When I was younger, I used my 69 RS vert on many dates because it had AC !

This might help. It’s definitely not the most popular part and easy to find. But you might be able to cobble up and fabricate. I’d like a follow up I’d possible.

Had a bunch of feelers out and heard back from Bill Hodel who has a set to sell me. Project is still on the rails.

Thank you for all the replies.
