Dual Quad Linkage

What would the Day 2 linkage look like for this setup, and where can I get one? This car has the steel throttle arm coming off the gas pedal, no cable

For mine on my wagon, I just made one from round stock, and then joined the 2 carbs together. I think it looks good and it works great (about 5 years now) plus it was cheap to build. Here is what it looks like. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...e_build_25.jpg

Aftermarket 409 linkage would work fine.Tom

I'm not sure the '09 linkage would work that well. It's designed to have a lag before opening the front carb. I'd think with a tunnel ram you'd want both carbs to work at the same time.

Hmmm... I guess I need to take a few pictures and then start looking for examples on line - I assumed that Offenhauser had an old school version that went with their intake.

Search the HAMB. I would run them sideways. This is kinda cool if you are comitted to inline.

Re: Dual Quad Linkage

Actually hadn't thought about running them sideways, just thought inline was the typical Day 2 style! Is one method easier than the other, or more true to Day 2?

Marlin,
Every set up I saw back in the day was always in line. Race cars started putting them sideways. I had 2 660s in line and the linkage was super simple. I forget the brand and I don't have photos of the left side of the engine.

Re: Dual Quad Linkage

I spoke to Bill Jenkins about carbs and tunnel ram. He was the innovator, so even though he started doing that - late 1969, is it day 2 enough since he was in the minority?

Bill claimed the sideways fixed a lot of problems he had.
