Few pics of the “A69” underneath the firewall paint for the Cortez silver, wax crayon mark from fisher.

Also curious why the vin is stamped twice behind heater box 6 inches apart?

Can we get a wide angle shot of both VINS in 1picture?

Novas were always stamped there with the hidden vin. Camaros had a third on top the firewall. Reason? Who knows, maybe thinking two panels would be harder to change for theft.

What month was that car produced?

What was your process to remove the paint without disturbing the grease pencil marking? Do you know what the extra hole was for? Looks like a punch was used to make it?
What a Great find, Thanks for sharing

400 grit sandpaper wet and young eyes lol. There’s a couple extra holes from someone that thought a punch would be better than a drill….

There were always two hidden VINs - this is due to the design to the stamper. An 'egg' was pushed across the stamp, causing the imprint. The stamper was relocated, the egg was pushed back to the original position, causing the 2nd imprint, and the stamper incremented one VIN number.
I don't know what department made the call on the hidden VIN locations....

69W314spd,

Cool find. Bog standard for Novas. A 69 to match the trim tag. Black Interior / Cortez Silver.

2 VIN Stamps was just how it was done as Kurt stated.
