Many portions of these new Camaro manuals utilized information from the Corvette judging manuals.
Corvette were produced in one plant only, and mostly utilized one vendor for each required part....

Yes, they used a gang stamp.
The trans and engine were stamped at the same time.
Both those VIN stamps should be the same.
They where not always lined up perfectly, there was a little bit of...

Tank marking: OM, with a date code of June "F" or earlier.

Just get a can of hi temp engine paint, and go for it.
Make sure the surface is clean.
No fancy paint or anything - later on, it makes it easy to touch up too. ...
