Default Opinion's on 68 Z engine stamp.

Just want to get other opinion's on this pad stamp.

This stamp is way later than yours, but a known original stamp.

I don't think so - - that looks non typical.

'

Looks like ghost stampings under the 5 that aren't a bounce also faint smaller #'s under the I over the chip?
Also note the smoother surface areas around/under the MO, old paint or intentional fillers?
Anything's possible but comparison w/ known genuine stampings always best.

Jeff, pad surface is a major concern. Almost impossible to make a judgement on the characters due to non-OEM markings on the pad.

Deck has been played with under the 'MO' section.. as already stated there is ghosting under some of the other numbers and the vin numbers especially the last one in the series isn't at all typical.. I'm all in for a big 'NO' from my experience with my own '68 Zed example!
