Did you use a standard spring compressor the way pictured here?
Works good on just about any car. Remove the top hook block and only use the threaded bottom block. Slide the shaft through the shock hole and screw on the block and hooks. Simply slide the spring over the tool and use the top shock mount to compress the spring. Took me about 5 min. per side.
