Saw this in the Pontiac forum and thought it could be of interest . . . not in a good way:

It is from a salvage yard in Southern MO. This yard had MANY intact muscle cars until about 15 years ago. I'm talking pop the hood 396's in SS Chevelles, Original 400's in GTO's, etc. When I first got in the yard John would not let anyone in the yard. Luckily a friend of mine, his Grandmother went to high school with the owner, so I had an in. At some point the yard owner let some Camaro and Mustang clubs in the yard, guess what?, a bunch of VIN tags came up missing! This Judge was one of them. My brother has the Ram Air pans from that car. He could have bought the car many times over, but steered clear of it due to the missing VIN. On one of our trips there we did get to the partial VIN on the rear frame rail. I did not run the PHS. For what it is worth, a cop friend of mine did do a national search to see if that VIN is currently registered, he came back with nothing. I know what the full VIN should be for the car, but I would still steer clear of it.</div></div>
