Default Buick and Chevelle mirrors

Hi Guys, is there a difference between a remote mirror for a 69 Chevelle and the same for a 69 Buick? I know the higher end Buicks mirrors had the logo on it but I am referring only to the more entry level one.

Thanks for your feedback.

Regards,
Dan

I've pulled a few from 68/69 Buick A bodys in the past and found them to be the same as the A body Chevys. The length of the adjuster cable varies on these.

Here is what is said to be correct for 1968-1972/Chevelle. Can you guys confirm that to me?

Thanks,
Dan

Mirror #2

Should it have the drain hole on the bottom?

Thanks,
Dan

I have a NOS mirror same as your #2. Its in a GM box part number 9822423 but must be the incorrect box. That number comes up as a Bullet mirror.
Hopefully someone can answer this question.

Mirror #1 = 70-72 A body, #2 looks like the correct one or close (base should face fwd. and come to a point).

Steve-most probably someone put a "bullet' style on their car and put the old chrome one in the box that the bullet one came in?

Here's the one factory installed on my 69 Malibu. Same as #2 above. Which I also believe to be the same for 1968. Can't say for sure on 70 and up.

FWIW, 68 used a 3 piece mirror. There is a adjusting ring between the mirror head and the mounting arm, this allows it to pivot and fit multiple models depending on which notch is used. This is a one year only mirror.

Example. http://m.ebay.com/itm/172354321219?_...25.m3641.l6368

Phil - the pics were exactly what I needed and I was able to identify an original thanks to them.
