I just started detailing the engine compartment in my 69 L78/TH400 Camaro. Could really use some nice big pictures of unmolested original engine compartments, preferably with air cleaner removed. I know I saw at least one or two such pics in the past month but for the life of me can't find them now that I need them.
By the way, where the heck does the rear engine lift bracket bolt to? And is that thermostat cover supposed to be left natural or painted aluminum color? Thanks in advance. ![]() |

For now, just need pics of thermostat housing (painted or natural), power steering pump & bracketry. Need to know where the rear rhs engine lift bracket bolts to near the distributor.

Here is my mostly restored, some original 69 Camaro SS L-78 sans the L-89 Aluminum heads and orange engine brackets. I have since painted the brackets the correct silver color.
Sorry, no power steering on this one. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Here is a pic of a 68 Survivor L-78 Camaro with 18K or so miles. Notice the orange lift brackets. In 69, did they change to Silver? ![]() Low mile 70 Chevelle L-78: ![]() ![]() Paul |
