Seatbelt Dying - Color Change

Can you change colors successfully on seatbelts for a first gen Camaro?

If so, what product works best and what is the process?

Does the color actually maintain itself or does it fade?

Do the seatbelts need to be disassembled and then re-stitched (I am hoping not)? I realize the white Hamill label will need to be removed.

I will be dying deluxe seat belts and going from light green to black.
