From what I understand, it was George Foltz who built all the Can Am engines for Can Am Racing until 1970. He worked in Chevrolet's engine department. Not all were all aluminum Engines. Not all Teams got the all aluminum Engine, in 67-68 only the Chaparall Team tested them and in 1969 the Mclaren Team also got access to it. now 430 and 465.
There were L88 engines for other Teams, 430 452 465 Iron block. |
